的 following resources provide useful advice in preparing your research for the Student Scholars Symposium.

Most student presentations at the UWF Student Scholars Symposium typically fall into one of two types: an Oral Presentation or a Poster Presentation. Both of these sessions are open to any student or faculty member. 的re are, however, other types of presentations that are included in the Symposium. 例如, some classes may have a special session only for students enrolled in that course to present their projects. Unless otherwise noted, all sessions will be held in person and are scheduled for 9 a.m. 到3点.m. on Thursday, April 17, 2025. Students should consult with their faculty mentor when selecting the appropriate presentation type.

Preparing Your Poster Presentation
Use the following resources to help prepare your poster presentation, including the drop-down section below:
Much like an abstract, your poster summarizes your research or creative project. Posters should be visually engaging and academically sound. Your poster may include charts, 表, 数据, 脚注, 参考文献, and other supporting information. 检查se summaries to get started:

- 的 typical poster size is 48 inches wide by 36 inches high
- If your project was funded by the Office of 本科研究 (OUR), you must include the 我们的横向标志 在海报上
- Be sure to use high-resolution images to avoid problems with printing
- Save your project as a PDF for printing
- Double-check for spelling or other errors
的 University Commons Printing Services office can print your poster. It is strongly recommended printing requests are submitted at least 2 weeks before the Student Scholar Symposium to allow for adequate production time.
Posters will be displayed on standing panels, and OUR will provide the hardware to hang the posters. Poster presenters can begin setting up their displays five to ten minutes before their scheduled presentation time.
